Rosemarie became a paraplegic in 1998 when a tree fell on her during a bike ride.  When returning home after the accident Rosemarie found a frustrating situation trying to live independently in her home.  So she and her husband began to research homes and design and discovered universal design which led them to developing the Universal Design Living Laboratory a national demonstration home and garden.  The Universal Design Living Laboratory was developed to help people understand how to create a more comfortable living environment that will enhance their quality of life.

During Rosemarie's presentation she will act as your guide through the Universal Design Living Laboratory.  This is a top-rated universal design home in North America with three national certifications.  Room-by-room, you'll recognize a multitude of accessible and universal design features applicable to homes old and new.  Rosetta will assist in addressing the needs, fears and demands of people looking for homes with accessible and universal design features.
